हमारा पहला नियम: पहले built-in

TallyPrime हर release में नई चीज़ें जोड़ता है। 7.1 में ready-made Invoice Print Templates आए हैं (logo, watermark, header/footer, terms), जिनके लिए पहले TDL लिखवानी पड़ती थी। Excel import Release 4.0 से built-in है, WhatsApp/e-mail sharing Alt+M से, Edit Log, Dashboard, GST reports, IMS, XML/ODBC integration: सब पहले से हैं।

इसलिए हर requirement पर हम पहले यह बताते हैं कि TallyPrime में built-in क्या है और कैसे configure होगा। TDL सिर्फ़ उस gap के लिए जो सच में बचता है। इससे आपका खर्च भी बचता है और upgrade पर झंझट भी कम होती है।

काम कैसे होता है

1. Requirement

WhatsApp पर आपका format, screenshot या voice note। ज़रूरत हो तो छोटी call। हम built-in options पहले बताते हैं, फिर scope तय करते हैं।

2. Quote और sample/demo

Scope साफ़ होने पर quote। फिर sample company पर TDL बनाकर demo; आपके बदलाव इसी stage पर होते हैं।

3. Delivery और install

Approval के बाद आपके system, TallyPrime Server या Tally on Cloud पर load करते हैं, आपके data पर check करते हैं और users को इस्तेमाल दिखाते हैं।

4. Support

Error, छोटे बदलाव और नए TallyPrime release पर compatibility check के लिए WhatsApp support।

Timeline requirement पर depend करती है: एक field या print बदलाव जल्दी हो जाता है, जबकि integration या कई reports वाले काम में testing का समय ज़्यादा लगता है। Quote के साथ expected timeline बताते हैं।

Common Mistakes

हर छोटी ज़रूरत के लिए अलग TDL

कई अलग-अलग sources की TDLs एक साथ load होने पर टकराव और slow performance आम है। Loaded TDLs की list रखें और एक source से maintained customization बेहतर है।

Upgrade से पहले TDL test न करना

नया release install किया और invoice print बिगड़ गया। Upgrade से पहले backup लें और TDL को test company पर check करें।

FAQ

TDL customization kya hota hai?

TDL (Tally Definition Language) TallyPrime की अपनी development language है। इससे TallyPrime में नए fields, invoice formats, reports, controls और integrations जोड़े जाते हैं, बिना TallyPrime के core को बदले। TDL file load होती है और हटाने पर TallyPrime अपने original रूप में आ जाता है।

Is custom TDL safe for my Tally data?

सही तरीके से लिखी और पहले test company पर check की गई TDL safe है। Reports वाली TDL सिर्फ़ data पढ़ती है। Data बदलने वाली TDL (import, integration) से पहले backup ज़रूरी है। हमेशा भरोसेमंद source से ही TDL लें।

TDL customization की cost कितनी है?

कोई fixed rate नहीं होता; cost requirement की complexity, fields/reports की संख्या, integration और testing पर depend करती है। Requirement भेजें, quote WhatsApp पर देते हैं।

Will my TDL work after TallyPrime upgrade?

ज़्यादातर TDLs नए release पर चलती हैं, पर हर upgrade से पहले test company पर check करना चाहिए। 7.1 जैसे releases में built-in features (जैसे Invoice Print Templates) आने पर कभी-कभी custom TDL की ज़रूरत ही खत्म हो जाती है।

Tally.ERP 9 की पुरानी TDL TallyPrime में चलेगी?

कई TDLs चल जाती हैं, पर TallyPrime का interface अलग होने से कुछ को re-work करना पड़ता है, खासकर invoice और screen वाली TDLs। पहले test करें; ज़रूरत हो तो हम migrate करते हैं।
