TallyPrime 4.0 (27 Nov 2023) — WhatsApp for Business, Excel Import और Graphical Dashboard
TallyPrime 4.0, 27 November 2023 को release हुआ — इसके तीन headline features थे: WhatsApp for Business, MS Excel से import और graphical Dashboard। यह पहला release था जिसमें invoice सीधे TallyPrime से WhatsApp पर जाने लगी और Excel की sheet से masters-vouchers बिना TDL के आने लगे।

4.0 के तीनों features practically
WhatsApp: पहले invoice PDF बनाकर mobile में भेजनी पड़ती थी; अब voucher से ही जाती है और bulk में outstanding reminders भी। Collection पर सबसे सीधा असर इसी का दिखता है। Excel import: Opening masters (ledgers, stock items) या दूसरे software से shift करते समय सैकड़ों entries का काम घंटों में निपटता है — पहले हमेशा test company में import करके error log देखें। Dashboard: Cash-bank balance, receivables, sales जैसी tiles एक screen पर; staff को सिर्फ उनके काम की tiles दिखाने के लिए user rights से restrict करें।
Upgrade notes
- Data migration: Release notes के अनुसार 3.0 और 3.0.1 का data 4.0 में बिना migration खुलता है। 2.1 या पुराने data को migrate करना होगा — notes यह भी कहते हैं कि बड़े data और slab-based stock items वाले cases में migration बिना memory error के होता है।
- Edit Log product: 4.0 TallyPrime और TallyPrime Edit Log दोनों के लिए आया।
- Income tax: Marginal Tax Relief सिर्फ New Tax Regime के उन employees पर जिनकी taxable income ₹7,00,000 से ₹7,27,777 के बीच है।
- TSS: Upgrade के लिए active TSS — latest price WhatsApp पर पूछें।
क्या आपको अभी भी 4.0 पर रहना चाहिए?

Common Mistakes
Live company में सीधे Excel import
गलत mapping से सैकड़ों गलत ledgers/vouchers बन जाते हैं। पहले backup, फिर test company में import और error log check।
Party master में mobile number अधूरा
WhatsApp पर invoice नहीं जाती। Country code के साथ सही WhatsApp number party master में भरें।
