हर महीने TallyPrime से चार-पाँच reports Excel में निकालकर एक MIS sheet जोड़ना time भी खाता है और गलती की गुंजाइश भी रखता है। Custom MIS Reports TDL वही sheet TallyPrime के अंदर एक report बना देती है: आपके columns, आपकी calculations, live data पर। पर पहले यह देखना ज़रूरी है कि built-in से कितना काम हो सकता है।
TallyPrime में built-in क्या है
TallyPrime 7.1 में reports की range काफ़ी बड़ी है, और कई “custom” ज़रूरतें बिना TDL पूरी हो जाती हैं:
- Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, Funds Flow, Ratio Analysis, Sales/Purchase Register, Stock Summary, Cost Centre reports
- F12 (Configure), Alt+F5 (Detailed), Alt+C (New Column) से period/company comparison
- Ctrl+H (Change View) और Columnar view, filters, और Save View से अपनी setting वाली report दोबारा उसी रूप में
- Dashboard tiles, Alt+E से Excel/PDF export, Alt+M से share

हम कैसे बनाते हैं
1. Requirement समझना
आपकी current Excel MIS देखकर तय करते हैं कि कौन-सा column TallyPrime के किस data से आएगा, और कौन-सा हिस्सा built-in से ही हो जाएगा।
2. Sample / demo
Sample data पर report बनाकर दिखाते हैं; आप layout और figures check करते हैं।
3. Install
Approval के बाद आपके system (या Tally on Cloud server) पर TDL load करके आपके data पर figures मिलाते हैं।
4. Support
छोटे बदलाव, नए release पर compatibility check और कोई error आए तो WhatsApp support। Timeline report की complexity पर depend करती है।

Common Mistakes
Built-in views देखे बिना TDL बनवाना
Columnar register या Save View से जो काम हो जाता है, उसके लिए TDL बनवाना अनावश्यक है। पहले built-in try करें, बचे हुए gap के लिए ही TDL।
Data entry consistent नहीं, फिर भी report से उम्मीद
अगर category, cost centre या godown entries में भरे ही नहीं जाते, तो कोई भी report सही नहीं दिखाएगी। Report से पहले entry discipline तय करें।
