Barcode in TallyPrime — Scanner से Billing कैसे करें

TallyPrime में barcode scanning stock item के Alias field से काम करती है — item के Alias में उसका barcode number डालें, फिर invoice में “Name of Item” पर scanner चलाते ही वही item अपने आप select हो जाता है। Scanning के लिए कोई add-on नहीं चाहिए; लेकिन barcode labels design और print करने के लिए अलग software या TDL add-on लगता है।

Retail में barcode से क्या बदलता है

Kirana, medical, garment या mobile shop में counter पर सबसे ज़्यादा समय item ढूँढने में जाता है — “Crocin 500” लिखें या “Paracetamol”? Barcode के साथ यह सवाल ख़त्म:

Speed: एक beep में item select, भीड़ के समय billing तेज़।
सही item: मिलते-जुलते नाम वाले items में गलत item बिकने का chance कम।
सही stock: गलत item कटेगा नहीं, तो stock register भी सही रहेगा।
नया staff: नए लड़के को हज़ारों items के नाम याद नहीं करने पड़ते।

Setup — Stock Item में barcode कैसे डालें

हमारी book TallyPrime 7.0 सम्पूर्ण मार्गदर्शिका (अध्याय 10, “Stock Item Alias aur Part Number — Barcode Search”) में यही तरीका दिया है:

Step	क्या करें
1	Alt+G → Alter Master → Stock Item (नया item हो तो Create Master)
2	Name के नीचे (alias) line में product का barcode number scan करें या type करें। Alias line न दिखे तो F12 में alias वाला option Yes करें।
3	दूसरा alias चाहिए (जैसे part no. या short code) तो अगली alias line में डालें।
4	Ctrl+A से save करें।

Billing — scanner से Sales Invoice

Sales voucher (Alt+G → Create Voucher → F8 Sales) खोलें।
Cursor Name of Item पर रखें और product scan करें — alias match होते ही item आ जाएगा।
Quantity और rate डालें (Standard Rate या Price List set हो तो rate अपने आप आएगा)।
अगला item scan करें, अंत में Ctrl+A।

Counter billing ज़्यादा है तो POS invoice भी इसी तरह scanner के साथ चलता है। Rate हर बार type न करना पड़े, इसके लिए Price List set कर लें।

जिन products पर barcode नहीं है

Loose माल, कपड़े या अपने बनाए items पर company barcode नहीं होता। ऐसे में आप अपना internal code (जैसे BCS-001) बनाकर alias में डालें और उसका label print करके चिपकाएं। यहीं TallyPrime की सीमा आती है — label printing built-in नहीं है। दो रास्ते हैं:

अलग label software: Excel से item list निकालकर label printer के software में print करें। सस्ता, पर हर नए item पर दोहरा काम।
TDL add-on: TallyPrime के अंदर से ही stock item या purchase voucher से labels print — item name, MRP, barcode, batch सब। नया माल आते ही उसी purchase से labels निकल जाते हैं। ज़्यादा items वाली दुकानों के लिए यह सबसे practical है (देखें TDL add-ons)।

दो items में एक ही barcode

एक ही alias दो items में हो तो scan पर गलत item आ सकता है। हर barcode/alias unique रखें — size या colour अलग है तो item भी अलग बनाएं।

Scanner का Enter suffix बंद होना

कुछ scanners scan के बाद Enter नहीं भेजते, तो हर बार हाथ से Enter दबाना पड़ता है। Scanner manual में “Enter/CR suffix” setting on करें।

Barcode को item Name में डाल देना

Name में barcode डालने से reports और invoice पढ़ने लायक नहीं रहते। Name में असली नाम, barcode सिर्फ़ alias में।

FAQ

Kya TallyPrime mein barcode scanner chalta hai?

हाँ। Normal USB barcode scanner keyboard की तरह काम करता है। Stock item के Alias में barcode number डाल दें, फिर invoice में Name of Item field पर scan करते ही वही item select हो जाता है।

Can TallyPrime print barcode labels?

Standard TallyPrime में barcode label design और print करने का built-in option नहीं है। इसके लिए अलग label printing software या TallyPrime का TDL add-on इस्तेमाल होता है, जो stock items से सीधे labels निकालता है।

Ek item ke multiple barcode ho sakte hain?

हाँ, stock item में एक से ज़्यादा alias दिए जा सकते हैं। जैसे company का original barcode और आपका अपना internal code — दोनों से item मिल जाएगा।

Kaunsa barcode scanner lena chahiye?

छोटी दुकान के लिए USB (HID / keyboard mode) वाला 1D scanner काफ़ी है। अगर mobile screen या QR code भी scan करना है तो 2D scanner लें। खरीदने से पहले check करें कि scan के बाद Enter भेजने की setting हो।
