Tally.ERP 9 की TDL TallyPrime में चलेगी? — Compatibility और Migration

बहुत-सी Tally.ERP 9 TDLs TallyPrime में चल जाती हैं, पर सब नहीं। Tally ने TallyPrime में TDL language की backward compatibility रखी है और TCP format भी नहीं बदला, इसलिए compiled file load हो जाती है। दिक्कत वहाँ आती है जहाँ TDL पुराने interface को छूती है — Gateway of Tally menu, F11/F12, buttons, toolbar। ऐसी TDLs को TallyPrime के लिए update करवाना पड़ता है।

साथ ही TallyPrime में नया Go To / Switch To आया है। Custom reports को उसमें दिखाना हो तो developer को थोड़ा code जोड़ना होता है। TallyPrime में आपकी key पहले से किसी default काम में ली गई हो, तो उस key वाला custom button load नहीं होता।

कौन-सी TDL आसानी से चलेगी, कौन-सी नहीं

आमतौर पर चल जाती है: invoice/print format, voucher में extra fields, साधारण reports, calculations।
अक्सर बदलाव चाहिए: Gateway menu में item जोड़ने वाली, F11/F12 options, custom buttons/toolbar, Import menu, पुराने version-check वाली TDL।
अक्सर दोबारा लिखनी पड़ती है: बहुत पुरानी TDL जिसका source नहीं, या जिसमें बहुत interface बदलाव हैं।

Migration के steps

1	Tally.ERP 9 में Product & Features से सभी TDLs की list और file path नोट करें; files एक folder में copy करें
2	हर TDL का developer/source पता करें — source code है या सिर्फ़ TCP
3	Data का backup लें और TallyPrime में data migrate करें (upgrade guide)
4	Test company पर TDLs एक-एक करके F1 → TDLs & Add-Ons → F4 से load करें
5	हर TDL का feature चलाकर देखें — print, report, entry
6	जो fail हो, उसे developer से TallyPrime version में update करवाएँ
7	सब OK होने पर live company पर लगाएँ; Ctrl+Alt+T से status confirm करें

Purane TDL की जगह built-in feature?

Tally.ERP 9 के ज़माने की कई TDLs उन कामों के लिए थीं जो अब TallyPrime 7.x में built-in हैं — जैसे invoice WhatsApp/e-mail करना, Excel import, edit log, कुछ invoice print options। Migration के समय यह देखना समझदारी है कि कौन-सी पुरानी TDL अब ज़रूरी ही नहीं रही। कम TDL = कम टकराव, आसान upgrade। TallyPrime 7.1 में क्या नया है, यह हमारे 7.1 release page पर देखें।

सारी पुरानी TDLs एक साथ TallyPrime में लगा देना

एक भी TDL crash कराए तो TallyPrime खुलना बंद हो सकता है और पता नहीं चलता कौन-सी दोषी है। एक-एक करके, test company पर load करें।

Upgrade से पहले TDL list न बनाना

Upgrade के बाद याद नहीं रहता कि पहले invoice पर कौन-सा field किस TDL से आता था। पुराने Tally.ERP 9 में Product & Features का screenshot और files पहले संभाल लें।

“Load हो गई” को “सही चल रही है” मान लेना

TCP load हो जाना काफ़ी नहीं; menu item या button चुपचाप गायब हो सकता है। हर feature को हाथ से चलाकर check करें।

Will Tally.ERP 9 TDL work in TallyPrime?

कई TDLs थोड़े या बिना बदलाव के चल जाती हैं, क्योंकि Tally ने TallyPrime में backward compatibility रखी है और TCP format नहीं बदला। पर जो TDL Gateway menu, F11/F12, buttons या toolbar को बदलती है, उसे TallyPrime के लिए update करना पड़ता है।

पुरानी TCP file को recompile करना पड़ेगा?

Tally की developer help के अनुसार TCP format नहीं बदला, इसलिए compiled file recompile किए बिना load हो सकती है। लेकिन load होना और सही चलना अलग बातें हैं, इसलिए test ज़रूर करें।

TallyPrime में Product & Features कहाँ गया?

Tally.ERP 9 का Product & Features report TallyPrime में TDL Management बन गया है। इसे F1 (Help) > TDLs & Add-Ons या Ctrl+Alt+T से खोलें।

Developer band ho gaya, source code nahi hai — kya karein?

अगर सिर्फ़ TCP है और source नहीं, तो उसे बदलना संभव नहीं। ऐसे में requirement दोबारा लिखकर TallyPrime के लिए नई TDL बनवाना ही रास्ता है।

Upgrade se pehle TDL ka kya karein?

Upgrade से पहले सभी TDLs की list (Tally.ERP 9 में Product & Features से) और files संभाल लें, data का backup लें, फिर TallyPrime में TDLs एक-एक करके test company पर load करके जाँचें।
