Windows 7, 10, 11 और 32-bit का सच

Windows 11 / 10 (64-bit) — सबसे सही विकल्प।
Windows 7 (64-bit) — Tally के अनुसार supported, लेकिन Windows 7 को अब Microsoft security updates नहीं देता। GST, e-Invoice और banking जैसे online काम के लिए upgrade करना बेहतर है।
32-bit Windows — current TallyPrime 32-bit पर install नहीं होता। पुरानी guides में 32-bit का ज़िक्र मिल सकता है, पर Tally का download page साफ़ लिखता है कि यह 64-bit edition के लिए है।

अपना system check करें: Windows Settings → System → About → System type।

Install Steps

Step	क्या करें
1	tallysolutions.com/download से TallyPrime setup download करें। MCA Edit Log ज़रूरी हो (Companies Act वाली कंपनियाँ) तो TallyPrime Edit Log वाला setup लें।
2	setup.exe पर double-click → Install New चुनें।
3	Application path देखें — default C:\Program Files\TallyPrime ठीक है।
4	Install पर click करें। Tally Scheduler भी साथ में install होता है।
5	Start TallyPrime → Welcome screen पर Activate License (Serial Number, Activation Key, E-mail ID) या license के बिना Educational Mode।

Educational Mode — सीखने के लिए free

License activate किए बिना TallyPrime Educational Mode में चलता है। Tally के अनुसार इसे बिना समय-सीमा के free use किया जा सकता है, लेकिन इसमें restrictions हैं — सबसे बड़ी यह कि voucher सिर्फ़ कुछ fixed dates पर ही डाले जा सकते हैं। Practice, students और interview preparation के लिए यह perfect है; असली business के books इसमें नहीं चलाए जा सकते। Detail: TallyPrime Educational Mode।

Cracked / “free full version” sites से दूर रहें

TallyPrime का कोई legal free full license नहीं है। जो websites “full version free” या “license key” बाँटती हैं, उनकी files में अक्सर malware होता है, data corrupt हो सकता है, GST/e-Invoice जैसी online services चलती नहीं, और pirated software use करना कानूनी जोखिम है। Setup हमेशा official page से लें और license Tally या authorized partner से।

Common Mistakes

Run as Administrator के बिना install/activate

Permission error आते हैं और license activate नहीं होता। TallyPrime icon पर right-click → Run as Administrator करके activate करें।

Company data को Program Files में रखना

Reinstall या Windows reset पर data खोने का खतरा। Data folder अलग drive (जैसे D:\TallyData) पर रखें और backup लेते रहें।

अनजान website से “setup” लेना

Modified setup में virus या keylogger हो सकता है। सिर्फ़ tallysolutions.com/download।
