TallyPrime ODBC Error — Excel से Connect नहीं हो रहा? Fix
“Data source name not found”, About screen पर “Client without ODBC”, या architecture mismatch — TallyPrime ODBC error का मतलब है कि Excel/Power BI, TallyPrime के ODBC server तक नहीं पहुँच पा रहे। ज़्यादातर मामलों में port, admin rights या 32/64-bit का फर्क ज़िम्मेदार होता है।

Fix steps — इसी क्रम में
- ODBC enable है? Alt+Z (Exchange) → Configure → Client/Server configuration → Enable ODBC = Yes। बदलाव के बाद TallyPrime restart करें।
- Status और port: Help (F1) → About → Client/Server and ODBC Services में देखें कि TallyPrime ODBC server की तरह चल रहा है और कौन-सा port है (default 9000)।
- Port conflict: “Client without ODBC” दिखे तो उसी screen पर दूसरा port (जैसे 9001) डालें, Enter दबाएँ — TallyPrime restart होगा। Network license/Gateway भी उसी port पर हो तो टकराव से बचें।
- Admin rights: TallyPrime icon पर right-click → Run as administrator। पहली बार driver register होने में यह ज़रूरी होता है।
- Bitness: Excel → File → Account → About Excel में 32/64-bit देखें। TallyPrime 64-bit है, Office भी 64-bit चाहिए।
- Excel से connect: Data → Get Data → From Other Sources → From ODBC → DSN list में TallyODBC64_ से शुरू होने वाला नाम (port नंबर के साथ) चुनें। Port बदला हो तो नया नाम चुनें।
- Firewall: किसी दूसरे computer से connect कर रहे हों तो Windows Firewall में TallyPrime और उस port को allow करें।

Common Mistakes
TallyPrime बंद रखकर Excel refresh करना
ODBC live connection है — TallyPrime बंद हो तो Excel में error या पुराना data आता है। Refresh से पहले TallyPrime और company खुली रखें।
Port बदलकर पुराना DSN use करना
DSN नाम में port शामिल रहता है। Port बदलने के बाद Excel में नया DSN चुनें।
